وَعَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ : مَا أَنَا مُتَخَلِّفٌ عَنِ الْعَنَقِ الْأَوَّلِ بَعْدَ الَّذِي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " تَجِيءُ فُقَرَاءُ الْمُسْلِمِينَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ عَلَى كُورِهِمْ ، فَيُقَالُ لَهُمْ : قِفُوا لِلْحِسَابِ ، فَيَقُولُونَ : مَا أَعْطَيْتُمُونَا شَيْئًا تُحَاسِبُونَا عَلَيْهِ ، فَيَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ قَبْلَ النَّاسِ بِأَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ .
Sayyiduna Sa'id bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I will never stay behind from the first expedition, after I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "On the Day of Resurrection the poor Muslims will come on their saddles, and it will be said to them: Stop to give your account! They will say: We were not given anything for which you should take account from us." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "So they (the poor) will enter Paradise forty years before other people."
