وَعَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " يَدْخُلُ فُقَرَاءُ أُمَّتِي قَبْلَ أَغْنِيَائِهِمْ بِأَرْبَعِينَ خَرِيفًا ، أَوْ بِأَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي كَامِلٍ الْمَوْصِلِيُّ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The poor of my Ummah will enter Paradise forty years before its wealthy (the narrator is unsure about the word used here for 'years')."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Muhammad bin Abi Kamil al-Mawsili, whom I do not know, and the rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
