وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : " تَدْخُلُ فُقَرَاءُ أُمَّتِي الْجَنَّةَ قَبْلَ أَغْنِيَائِهِمْ بِأَرْبَعِينَ خَرِيفًا " . فَقِيلَ : صِفْهُمْ لَنَا . فَقَالَ : " الدَّنِسَةُ ثِيَابُهُمْ ، الشَّعِثَةُ رُءُوسُهُمْ ، الَّذِينَ لَا يُؤْذَنُ لَهُمْ عَلَى السُّدَّاتِ ، وَلَا يَنْكِحُونَ الْمُتَنَعِّمَاتِ ، تُوَكَّلُ بِهِمْ مَشَارِقُ الْأَرْضِ وَمَغَارِبُهَا ، يُعْطُونَ كُلَّ الَّذِي عَلَيْهِمْ ، وَلَا يُعْطَوْنَ كُلَّ الَّذِي لَهُمْ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) relates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The poor of my Ummah will enter Paradise forty years before the wealthy. It was said: Describe them to us! The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Their clothes will be soiled and their hair dishevelled; they will not be allowed in; they will not be able to marry women of comfort; the eastern and western regions of the earth will be entrusted to them; they will fulfil all their obligations, but they will not receive all their rights."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
