Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) addressed us in Masjid al-Khayf. He first praised Allah Almighty as befits Him and then said: "Whoever's concern is the Hereafter, Allah Almighty will gather his affairs together for him, place his contentment before his eyes, and the world will come to him humbled. And whoever's concern is the world, Allah Almighty will scatter his affairs, place his poverty before his eyes, and nothing of the world will come to him except what has been written for him."
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Abu Hamzah al-Thumali, who is da'if (weak).
