بَابٌ فِيمَنْ كَانَتْ نِيَّتُهُ وَهِمَّتُهُ لِلدُّنْيَا وَالْآخِرَةِ .

وَعَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " تَفَرَّغُوا مِنْ هُمُومِ الدُّنْيَا مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ ; فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ كَانَتِ الدُّنْيَا أَكْبَرَ هَمِّهِ أَفْشَى اللَّهُ ضَيْعَتَهُ ، وَجَعَلَ فَقْرَهُ بَيْنَ عَيْنَيْهِ ، وَمَنْ كَانَتِ الْآخِرَةُ أَكْبَرَ هَمِّهِ جَمَعَ اللَّهُ لَهُ أَمْرَهُ ، وَجَعَلَ غِنَاهُ فِي قَلْبِهِ ، وَمَا أَقْبَلَ عَبْدٌ بِقَلْبِهِ إِلَى اللَّهِ إِلَّا جَعَلَ اللَّهُ قُلُوبَ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ تَفِدُ إِلَيْهِ بِالْوُدِّ وَالرَّحْمَةِ ، وَكَانَ اللَّهُ بِكُلِّ خَيْرٍ إِلَيْهِ أَسْرَعَ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ الْمَصْلُوبُ ، وَهُوَ كَذَّابٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu al-Darda' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "As far as you are able, keep yourselves free of the worries of the world, for whoever's greatest concern is the world, Allah Almighty will spread his affairs apart and place his poverty before his eyes; and whoever's greatest concern is the Hereafter, Allah Almighty will gather his affairs together and place his contentment in his heart. When a servant turns with his heart to Allah Almighty, Allah Almighty brings the hearts of the believers to him with love and mercy, and Allah Almighty swiftly brings every kind of good."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains Muhammad bin Sa'id bin Hassan al-Maslub, who is kadhdhab (a liar).
