بَابُ لَا يَمْلَأُ جَوْفَ ابْنِ آدَمَ إِلَّا التُّرَابُ .

وَعَنْ بُرَيْدَةَ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقْرَأُ فِي الصَّلَاةِ : " لَوْ أَنَّ لِابْنِ آدَمَ وَادِيًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ لَابْتَغَى إِلَيْهِ ثَانِيًا ، وَلَوْ أُعْطِيَ ثَانِيًا لَابْتَغَى إِلَيْهِ ثَالِثًا ، وَلَا يَمْلَأُ جَوْفَ ابْنِ آدَمَ إِلَّا التُّرَابُ ، وَيَتُوبُ اللَّهُ عَلَى مَنْ تَابَ " . رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ غَيْرَ صُبَيْحٍ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ ، وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ .
Sayyiduna Buraydah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) reciting in the prayer: "If the son of Adam had a valley of gold, he would seek a second one along with it; and if he were given a second one, he would seek a third along with it. Nothing but dust can fill the belly of the son of Adam, and Allah Almighty accepts the repentance of whoever repents."
