وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ : أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " إِذَا مَشِيَتْ أُمَّتِي الْمُطَيْطَاءَ ، وَخَدَمَتْهُمْ فَارِسُ وَالرُّومُ ، تَسَلَّطَ بَعْضُهُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "When my Ummah walks with an arrogant swagger, and the people of Persia and the people of Rome serve them, then some of them will be given power over others."
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its chain is hasan (sound).
