Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 17638

Harith bin Suwayd narrates: I heard Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) say: "There is no speech that I might speak before a ruler, by which I could ward off two lashes of the whip from myself, except that I would speak it."
At-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
