Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 17594

Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Whoever recites this three times: "I seek forgiveness from Allah Almighty, besides whom there is no god, the Ever-Living, the Self-Subsisting, and I repent to Him," that person is forgiven, even if he has fled from the battlefield.
Al-Tabarani recorded it as mawquf, and its narrators have been declared trustworthy.
