Majma al-Zawaid 17566 — The lifespans of this Ummah
عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " أَعْمَارُ أُمَّتِي مَا بَيْنَ السِّتِّينَ إِلَى السَّبْعِينَ ، وَأَقَلُّهُمُ الَّذِينَ يَبْلُغُونَ ثَمَانِينَ " . رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَفِيهِ شَيْخُ هُشَيْمٍ لَمْ يُسَمَّ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The (average) lifespans of my Ummah will be between sixty and seventy years, and few of them will be those who reach eighty years."
