Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 17536

Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The parable of one who first does evil deeds and then does good deeds is like a man wearing a tight coat of mail that is choking him; then when he does a good deed, one of its rings loosens; then he does another good deed and another ring loosens, until the coat of mail falls to the ground."
Ahmad and al-Tabarani recorded it, and the narrators of one of al-Tabarani's two chains are the narrators of the Sahih.
