عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " الْمُؤْمِنُ وَاهٍ رَاقِعٌ ، فَسَعِيدٌ مَنْ هَلَكَ عَلَى رَقَعِهِ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الصَّغِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَالْبَزَّارُ ، وَقَالَ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ : وَمَعْنَى وَاهٍ : يَعْنِي مُذْنِبٌ ، وَرَاقِعٌ : يَعْنِي تَائِبٌ مُسْتَغْفِرٌ . وَفِيهِ سَعِيدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْخُزَاعِيُّ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The believer is sinful and also seeks forgiveness; so fortunate is the one who dies after having sought forgiveness."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and al-Bazzar also recorded it. Al-Tabarani says: The word "wahin" means sinful, and the word "raqi'" means one who repents and seeks forgiveness. Its chain contains Sa'id bin Khalid al-Khuza'i, who is da'if (weak).
