Book of Repentance
بَابٌ مَفْتُوحٌ لِلتَّوْبَةِ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ مِنْ نَحْوِهِ " . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَالطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَإِسْنَادُهُ جَيِّدٌ .
Until when the servant's repentance is accepted

وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " مَنْ تَابَ قَبْلَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ مِنْ مَغْرِبِهَا تَابَ اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever repents before the sun rises from the west, Allah Almighty will accept his repentance."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains al-Hasan bin Abi Ja'far, who is da'if (weak).
