Sayyiduna Suhayb (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) supplicated, he used to recite:
'Allahumma innaka lasta bi'ilahin istahdathnah, wa la birabbin ibtada'nah, wa la kana lana qablaka ilahun nalja'u ilayhi wa nadharuk, wa la a'anaka ala khalqina ahadun fanushrikahu fik, tabarakta wa ta'alayt'
(O Allah! You are not a deity whom we have made up, nor a Lord whom we have invented; before You we had no other lord in whom we would take refuge and leave You; and no one helped You in creating us that we should make him Your partner. You are full of blessing, Most High and Exalted.)
Ka'b says: The Prophet of Allah, Sayyiduna Dawud (peace be upon him), used to recite this supplication.
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Amr bin al-Husayn al-Uqayli, who is matruk (abandoned).
