Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 17423

Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent Sayyiduna Ja'far bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) to Abyssinia, he walked some distance with him to see him off and gave him these words as provision for the journey:
'Allahumma ultuf bi fi taysiri kulli asir, fa'inna taysira kulli asirin alayka yasir, wa as'aluka al-yusra wal-mu'afata fi al-dunya wal-akhirah'
(O Allah! Be kind to me by making every difficulty easy, for making every difficulty easy is easy for You; and I ask You for ease and well-being in this world and the Hereafter.)
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat; its chain contains narrators whom I do not know.
