Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) met me and said: "Shall I not teach you words which Allah Almighty teaches to whomever He intends good for?" I said: Yes, O Messenger of Allah! The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Recite:
'Allahumma inni da'ifun fa qawwi fi ridaka da'fi, wa inni dhalilun fa a'izzani, wa inni faqirun fa aghnini' (O Allah, indeed I am weak, so strengthen my weakness in (seeking) Your pleasure; I am lowly, so grant me honour; I am poor, so make me prosperous).
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Abu Dawud al-A'ma (the blind), who is matruk (abandoned).
