Sayyiduna Abu Sirmah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite:
'Allahumma inni as'aluka ghina'i wa ghina mawlaya' (O Allah, I ask You for my sufficiency and the sufficiency of my servants).
Ahmad and al-Tabarani recorded it; the narrators of one of Ahmad's two chains are the narrators of the Sahih, the other chain is likewise, and the chain of al-Tabarani is likewise, except for the woman named Lu'lu'ah, the maid of the Ansar, who is thiqah (trustworthy).
