Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 17390

Sayyiduna Busr bin Artah al-Qurashi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) making this supplication:
'Allahumma ahsin 'aqibatana fi al-umuri kulliha, wa ajirna min khizyi al-dunya wa 'adhabi al-akhirah' (O Allah, make our outcome good in all matters, and protect us from the disgrace of this world and the punishment of the Hereafter).
Ahmad and al-Tabarani recorded it, and he added these words: "The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever keeps making this supplication will die before trial befalls him (that is, he will not have to face trial before dying)."
The narrators of Ahmad and the narrators of one of the various chains of al-Tabarani are thiqat (trustworthy).
