بَابُ الْأَدْعِيَةِ الْمَأْثُورَةِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - الَّتِي دَعَا بِهَا ، وَعَلَّمَهَا .

وَعَنْ عَجُوزٍ مِنْ بَنِي نُمَيْرٍ : أَنَّهَا رَمَقَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي بِالْأَبْطَحِ تُجَاهَ الْبَيْتِ قَبْلَ الْهِجْرَةِ ، سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ : " اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي ذَنْبِي ، خَطَئِي وَجَهْلِي " . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ ، إِلَّا أَنَّ أَبَا السَّلِيلِ ضُرَيْبَ بْنَ نُفَيْرٍ لَمْ يَسْمَعْ مِنَ الصَّحَابَةِ فِيمَا قِيلَ .
An elderly woman from Banu Numayr narrates that she carefully observed the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was praying at the place called 'Abtah', facing the Ka'bah; this was before the Hijrah. I heard him say:
'Allahumma ighfir li dhanbi, khata'i wa jahli' (O Allah, forgive my sin, my mistake and my ignorance).
Ahmad recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except that Abu al-Salil Durayb bin Nufayr did not hear from any of the Companions, as has been said.
