Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Whenever I prayed behind your Prophet, I heard him (peace and blessings be upon him), after finishing the prayer, recite:
'Allahumma ighfir li khata'i wa dhunubi kullaha, Allahumma an'ishni, warzuqni, wajburni li salihi al-a'mali wa al-akhlaq, la yahdi li salihiha wa la yasrifu sayyi'aha illa anta' (O Allah, forgive my mistakes and all my sins! O Allah, give me resolve and vigour, provide for me, and guide me to righteous deeds and righteous character, for none but You can guide to the righteous of them (character and deeds) and turn away the bad of them (character and deeds)).
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators have been declared trustworthy.
