بَابُ الْأَدْعِيَةِ الْمَأْثُورَةِ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - الَّتِي دَعَا بِهَا ، وَعَلَّمَهَا .

وَعَنْ عَوْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ : لَقِيتُ شَيْخًا بِالشَّامِ فَقُلْتُ : أَسَمِعْتَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - شَيْئًا ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ : " اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا " . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ ، وَفِيهِ الْمَسْعُودِيُّ ، وَقَدِ اخْتَلَطَ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Awn bin Abdullah narrates: I met an elderly man in Syria, and I asked: Did you hear anything from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)? He replied: Yes! I heard him say:
'Allahumma ighfir lana warhamna' (O Allah, forgive us and have mercy on us).
Ahmad recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, al-Mas'udi, who suffered from confusion (ikhtilat); the remaining narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
