Sayyiduna Imran bin Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Most of the supplication of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was this:
'Allahumma ighfir li ma akhta'tu wa ma ta'ammadtu, wa ma asrartu wa ma a'lantu, wa ma jahiltu wa ma ta'ammadtu' (O Allah, forgive me for the mistakes I made, what I did deliberately, what I did in secret, what I did openly, what I did in ignorance and what I did deliberately; forgive me for (all of) these).
Ahmad recorded it, and al-Bazzar and al-Tabarani recorded something similar; their narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except for Awn al-Uqayli, who is thiqah (trustworthy).
