Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 17120

Sayyiduna Abu Umamah bin Sahl (may Allah be pleased with him) reports this from Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him): I asked him: What are people afraid of, that when they enter a town, or when a town comes into view before them, they recite: "O Allah, grant us provision in it"? Sayyiduna Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) replied: People fear the oppression of rulers and the failure of the rains.
Al-Bazzar recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except for Qays bin Salim, whose case is different, and he is thiqah (trustworthy).
