Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 17116

Sayyiduna Abu Lubabah bin Abd al-Mundhir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to enter a town, he would not enter it until he had recited:
'Allahumma rabbas-samawatis-sab'i wa ma azallat, wa rabbal-aradinas-sab'i wa ma aqallat, wa rabbar-riyahi wa ma adhrat, wa rabbash-shayatini wa ma adallat, inni as'aluka khayraha wa khayra ma fiha, wa a'udhu bika min sharriha wa sharri ma fiha'
(O Allah, Lord of the seven heavens and Lord of all that they shade; Lord of the seven earths and Lord of all that they carry; Lord of the winds and Lord of all that they blow upon; Lord of the devils and Lord of all whom they lead astray: I ask You for the good of it (that is, the town) and the good of whatever is in it, and I seek refuge in You from the evil of it (that is, the town) and the evil of whatever is in it.)
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat, and its chain is hasan (good).
