Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 16952

وَعَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ : أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - كَانَ إِذَا صَلَّى الصُّبْحَ جَلَسَ يَذْكُرُ اللَّهَ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ . قُلْتُ : هُوَ فِي الصَّحِيحِ غَيْرُ قَوْلِهِ : يَذْكُرُ اللَّهَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الصَّغِيرِ ، وَرِجَالُهُ ثِقَاتٌ .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had performed the morning prayer, he would sit remembering Allah until the sun rose.
(Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say:
This narration is mentioned in the Sahih, except that it does not contain these words: "remembering Allah."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Saghir, and its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
