It is reported about Sayyidah Umm Malik al-Ansariyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) that she came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) with a container of ghee. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) to take the ghee out of it, then Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) returned the container to the woman. When the woman went back, she saw that the container was full of ghee. The woman came back to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "O Messenger of Allah, has some command been revealed concerning me?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked: "O Umm Malik, what happened?" The woman said: "Why did you return my gift to me?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called Sayyiduna Bilal (may Allah be pleased with him) and asked him about it, and he said: "By the One who sent you with the truth, I took out so much from that container that I began to feel ashamed." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Umm Malik, congratulations to you! This is a blessing whose reward Allah Almighty has given you in advance." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) taught the woman to recite after every prayer 'Subhan Allah' ten times, 'Al-hamdu lillah' ten times and 'Allahu akbar' ten times.
Al-Tabarani recorded it; its chain contains Ata' bin al-Sa'ib, who is thiqah (trustworthy) but suffered from confusion (ikhtilat), and its chain contains a narrator who is not named; the rest of its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih.
