Sayyidah Umm Anas (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: "May Allah place you in the Highest Companionship (al-Rafiq al-A'la) in Paradise, and may I be with you." I said: "O Messenger of Allah, teach me a righteous deed that I may act upon." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Establish the prayer, for it is the most excellent jihad; keep away from sins, for that is the most excellent emigration (hijrah); and remember Allah abundantly, for it is the deed most beloved to Allah Almighty that you should meet Him with."
Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. He said: This Umm Anas is not the mother of Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him). He
recorded it by way of Muhammad bin Isma'il al-Ansari from Yunus bin Imran bin Abi Anas. Ibn Abi Hatim mentioned both of them and did not mention any criticism (jarh) of them. The rest of its narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
