It is reported about Sayyiduna Abdullah bin al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he stood at the door through which one enters the mosque—that is, the mosque of Mina. He praised and extolled Allah Almighty and then said: "Indeed, these slaves, disbelievers and transgressors have set out to attack me." The narrator says: After that he mentioned the whole report.
Abu Ya'la recorded it; its chain contains Furat bin al-Ahnaf, who is da'if (weak). Before this, at the beginning of the Book on freeing slaves, it has passed that whoever takes out something to give in charity and then finds no recipient other than a Berber should take that charity back. The chain of that report contains Ibn Lahi'ah, whose narration is hasan (good), and the narrators of this report are thiqat (trustworthy). Likewise there is a report with the words: "Faith will not go beyond their throats," and
this report is da'if (weak). Likewise, in the Book of the Caliphate and the Book of Trials there are reports about Banu al-Hakam and others which there is no need to repeat.
