وَعَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ : أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ : " لَا يُبْغِضُ الْأَنْصَارَ رَجُلٌ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ ، وَلَا يُحِبُّ ثَقِيفًا رَجُلٌ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللَّهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ " . قُلْتُ : رَوَاهُ التِّرْمِذِيُّ ، غَيْرَ ذِكْرِ ثَقِيفٍ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ غَيْرَ شَيْخِ الطَّبَرَانِيِّ : يَحْيَى بْنِ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ السَّهْمِيِّ ، وَهُوَ صَدُوقٌ ، وَفِيهِ خِلَافٌ لَا يَضُرُّ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) reports this saying of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "A man who believes in Allah Almighty and the Last Day will not hate the Ansar, and a man who believes in Allah Almighty and the Last Day will not love Thaqif." (Allamah al-Haythami says:) I say:
Al-Tirmidhi recorded this report, but he did not mention Thaqif.
Al-Tabarani recorded it, and its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except al-Tabarani's teacher Yahya bin Uthman bin Salih al-Sahmi, who is saduq (truthful); there is a disagreement about him that does no harm.
Al-Tirmidhi recorded this report, but he did not mention Thaqif.
