Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) states: Once the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was in Madinah, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest)! When the help of Allah and the victory have come, and the people of Yemen have come, a people whose hearts are pure and whose obedience is excellent (the narrator is unsure: or perhaps he said some similar word). Faith is Yemeni, understanding (fiqh) is Yemeni, and wisdom is Yemeni."
Al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, al-Husayn bin Isa bin Muslim al-Hanafi, whom Ibn Hibban declared thiqah (trustworthy) and whom the majority declared da'if (weak). The remaining narrators of this report are the narrators of the Sahih.
