وَعَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَقَفَ يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ عَلَى رَجُلٍ مِنْ ثَقِيفٍ مَقْتُولٍ فَقَالَ : " أَبْعَدَكَ اللَّهُ ; فَإِنَّكَ كُنْتَ تُبْغِضُ قُرَيْشًا " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الزُّهْرِيُّ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ وَقَدْ وُثِّقَ .
Sayyiduna al-Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): on the day of the Battle of Hunayn he (peace and blessings be upon him) came and stood by a slain man from the tribe of Thaqif and said: "May Allah Almighty keep you far away; you used to hate Quraysh."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration. Its chain contains Ya'qub bin Muhammad al-Zuhri, who is da'if (weak), though he has also been declared trustworthy.
