وَعَنْ سَعْدٍ - يَعْنِي ابْنَ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ - قَالَ : قِيلَ لِلنَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : إِنَّ فُلَانًا الثَّقَفِيَّ قُتِلَ ، وَقَدْ كَانَ أَسْلَمَ . فَقَالَ : " أَبْعَدَهُ اللَّهُ ; إِنَّهُ كَانَ يُبْغِضُ قُرَيْشًا " . رَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ ، وَفِيهِ مَنْ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ .
Sayyiduna Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: It was said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "So-and-so of Thaqif has been killed, and he had become a Muslim." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "May Allah Almighty keep him far away, for he used to hate Quraysh."
