Majma al-Zawaid 16459 — Reports on the virtue of Quraysh
وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " مَنْ أَهَانَ قُرَيْشًا أَهَانَهُ اللَّهُ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْكَبِيرِ وَالْأَوْسَطِ ، وَفِيهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمٍ أَبُو هِلَالٍ ، وَقَدْ وَثَّقَهُ جَمَاعَةٌ ، وَفِيهِ ضَعْفٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِمَا رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ ، وَرَوَاهُ الْبَزَّارُ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever insults Quraysh, Allah Almighty will humiliate him before his death."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat. Its chain contains Muhammad bin Sulaym Abu Hilal, whom a group of scholars declared thiqah (trustworthy), though there is weakness in him; the remaining narrators of both narrations are the narrators of the Sahih.
Imam al-Bazzar also recorded this narration.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir and al-Mu'jam al-Awsat.
