وَعَنِ الْمُسْتَوْرِدِ الْفِهْرِيِّ قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - يَقُولُ : وَذَكَرَ قُرَيْشًا فَقَالَ : " إِنَّ فِيهِمْ لَخِصَالًا أَرْبَعَةً : إِنَّهُمْ أَصْلَحُ النَّاسِ عِنْدَ فِتْنَةٍ ، وَأَسْرَعُهُمْ إِفَاقَةً بَعْدَ مُصِيبَةٍ ، وَأَوْشَكُهُمْ كَرَّةً بَعْدَ فَرَّةٍ ، وَأَمْنَعُهُمْ مِنْ ظُلْمِ الْمَلُوكِ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ فِي الْأَوْسَطِ عَنْ شَيْخِهِ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ رِشْدِينَ ، وَهُوَ ضَعِيفٌ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna al-Mustawrid al-Fihri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) speak; mentioning Quraysh, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "There are four qualities in them: at the time of tribulation they are the most righteous of people; after a calamity they recover quickly; after falling back they turn and attack again; and they are the strongest in resisting the oppression of rulers."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Awsat from his teacher Ahmad bin Muhammad bin Rishdin, who is da'if (weak), and the remaining narrators of this report are the narrators of the Sahih.
