وَعَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ أَنَّ جَعْفَرًا قُتِلَ يَوْمَ مُؤْتَةَ بِالْبَلْقَاءِ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَهُوَ مُرْسَلٌ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Imam al-Sha'bi says: Sayyiduna Ja'far (may Allah be pleased with him) was martyred in the Battle of Mu'tah, at a place called al-Balqa'.
