بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي الْعَبَّاسِ عَمِّ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَمَنْ جُمِعَ مَعَهُ مِنْ وَلَدِهِ
Reports on al-Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him), paternal uncle of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and those of his children mentioned with him

وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ قَالَ : لَمَّا قَدِمَ صَفْوَانُ بْنُ أُمَيَّةَ الْجُمَحِيُّ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - قَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " عَلَى مَنْ نَزَلْتَ يَا أَبَا وَهْبٍ ؟ " . قَالَ : نَزَلْتُ عَلَى الْعَبَّاسِ . قَالَ : " عَلَى أَشَدِّ قُرَيْشٍ لِقُرَيْشٍ حُبًّا " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَفِيهِ مَنْ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُمْ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Harithah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports: When Safwan bin Umayyah al-Jumahi came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked him: O Abu Wahb! Where are you staying? He said: I am staying with Sayyiduna Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: You are staying with a man who, among Quraysh, has the greatest love for Quraysh.
