Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 15376

Sayyiduna Sahl bin Hunayf (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took Sayyidah Safiyyah bint Huyayy bin Akhtab (may Allah be pleased with her), who was from Banu al-Nadir, as a captive. Allah Almighty had granted this lady to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) as fay'.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration from his teacher al-Qasim bin Abdullah bin Mahdi, who is da'if (weak); Ibn Adi says there is no harm in him. The remaining narrators of this narration are thiqat (trustworthy).
