Sayyidah Razinah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: On the day of (the battles of) Qurayzah and al-Nadir, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) brought Sayyidah Safiyyah bint Huyayy (may Allah be pleased with her), her wrist being in the hand of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). When she saw the captives, she said: I bear witness that there is no god except Allah Almighty, and that you are the Messenger of Allah. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) released her wrist from his hand. the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) freed her, proposed marriage to her and then married her. the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave her a (reclining) cushion as her dowry (mahr).
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration, and Imam Abu Ya'la recorded something similar via Alilah bint al-Kumayt, from her mother Aminah, from Amatullah bint Razinah; I do not know these three women. The remaining narrators of its chain are thiqat (trustworthy), and
this narration contradicts what is mentioned in the Sahih; and Allah knows best.
