وَعَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الْأَصَمِّ قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ تَحْلِقُ رَأْسَهَا بَعْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَقُلْتُ لِيَزِيدَ بْنِ الْأَصَمِّ ، فَقَالَ : أَرَاهَا تَبْتَذِلُ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ غَيْرَ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ وَهْبٍ ، وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ .
Yazid bin al-Asamm narrates: I saw the Mother of the Believers (Umm al-Mu'minin) after the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); she had shaved her head. I asked Yazid bin al-Asamm (about it), and he said: My view about her is that she wished to leave her appearance unadorned.
At-Tabarani recorded it; its narrators are the narrators of the Sahih, except Uqbah bin Wahb, and he is thiqah (trustworthy).
