وَعَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - طَلَّقَ حَفْصَةَ تَطْلِيقَةً ، فَأَتَاهَا خَالَاهَا عُثْمَانُ وَقُدَامَةُ ابْنَا مَظْعُونٍ ، فَقَالَتْ : وَاللَّهِ مَا طَلَّقَنِي عَنْ شِبَعٍ ، فَجَاءَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - فَدَخَلَ فَتَجَلْبَبَتْ ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - : " أَتَانِي جِبْرِيلُ - عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ - فَقَالَ : رَاجِعْ حَفْصَةَ ; فَإِنَّهَا صَوَّامَةٌ قَوَّامَةٌ ; وَإِنَّهَا زَوَّجَتُكَ فِي الْجَنَّةِ " . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Sayyiduna Qays bin Yazid (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her) one divorce. Sayyidah Hafsah's (may Allah be pleased with her) two maternal uncles, Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) and Sayyiduna Qudamah (may Allah be pleased with him), both sons of Maz'un, came to Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her), and Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: By Allah! The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not divorce me out of weariness of me. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came; when he entered the house, Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her) wrapped herself in her outer garment. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Jibril came to me and said: Take back Hafsah, for she is a woman who prays much and keeps many voluntary fasts, and she will be your wife in Paradise."
