بَابُ فَضْلِ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتِ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - وَرَضِيَ عَنْهَا
The virtues of Hafsah bint Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with her), wife of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)
Majma al-Zawaid 15335 — The virtues of Hafsah bint Umar
وَعَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ قَالَ : تُوُفِّيَتْ حَفْصَةُ عَامَ فُتِحَتْ إِفْرِيقِيَّةُ ، وَمَاتَتْ وَمَرْوَانُ عَلَى الْمَدِينَةِ . رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ ، وَرِجَالُهُ رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ .
Imam Malik bin Anas says: Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her) passed away in the year in which Africa (Ifriqiyah) was conquered; when she passed away, Marwan was the governor of Madinah.
