عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ : لَقَدْ أُعْطِيتُ تِسْعًا مَا أُعْطِيَتْهُنَّ امْرَأَةٌ إِلَّا مَرْيَمَ بِنْتَ عِمْرَانَ : لَقَدْ نَزَلَ جِبْرِيلُ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - بِصُورَتِي فِي رَاحَتِهِ ، حَتَّى أُمِرَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - أَنْ يَتَزَوَّجَنِي ، وَلَقَدْ تَزَوَّجَنِي بِكْرًا ، وَمَا تَزَوَّجَ بِكْرًا غَيْرِي ، وَلَقَدْ قُبِضَ وَرَأْسُهُ فِي حِجْرِي ، وَلَقَدْ قَبَرْتُهُ فِي بَيْتِي ، وَلَقَدْ حَفَّتِ الْمَلَائِكَةُ بَيْتِي ، وَإِنْ كَانَ الْوَحْيُ لَيَنْزِلُ وَهُوَ فِي أَهْلِهِ فَيَتَفَرَّقُونَ عَنْهُ ، وَإِنْ كَانَ الْوَحْيُ لَيَنْزِلُ عَلَيْهِ وَإِنِّي مَعَهُ فِي لِحَافِهِ ، وَإِنِّي لَابْنَةُ خَلِيفَتِهِ وَصَدِيقِهِ ، وَلَقَدْ نَزَلَ عُذْرِي مِنَ السَّمَاءِ ، وَلَقَدْ خُلِّفْتُ طَيِّبَةً وَعِنْدَ طَيِّبٍ ، وَلَقَدْ وُعِدْتُ مَغْفِرَةً وَرِزْقًا كَرِيمًا . رَوَاهُ أَبُو يَعْلَى ، وَفِي الصَّحِيحِ وَغَيْرِهِ بَعْضُهُ ، وَفِي إِسْنَادِهِ أَبِي يَعْلَى مَنْ لَمْ أَعْرِفْهُمْ .
Sayyidah Aishah Siddiqah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: I have been given nine things that have not been given to any other woman, except for Sayyidah Maryam bint Imran (may Allah be pleased with her). Sayyiduna Jibril (peace be upon him) brought my image in his hand and told the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to marry me. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) married me, I was a virgin, and he did not marry any virgin other than me. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away, his head was in my lap, and the grave of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is in my house. The angels surrounded my house. When revelation descended upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while he was with his family, they would move away from him; but when I was with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) under his blanket, revelation would descend upon him. I am the daughter of his successor (khalifah) and of his Siddiq. The ruling of my innocence was revealed from the heavens. I was created pure and remained with one who is pure, and I have been promised forgiveness and a noble provision.
