Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says: Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) was "al-Siddiq"; you named him rightly. Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) was a horn made of iron. Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) was "Dhu al-Nurayn (the possessor of two lights)"; you named him rightly. He was killed wrongfully, and he was given a double portion of reward.
Al-Tabarani recorded it with two chains, and the narrators of one of them are the narrators of the Sahih, except for Uqbah bin Aws, who is thiqah (trustworthy).
