The death of Umar (may Allah be pleased with him)

وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ : لَقَدْ خَشِيتُ اللَّهَ فِي حُبِّي عُمَرَ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ مِنْ طُرُقٍ ، وَفِي بَعْضِهَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ أَبِي النَّجُودِ ، وَهُوَ حَسَنُ الْحَدِيثِ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِمَا رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ ، وَبَعْضُهَا مُنْقَطِعُ الْإِسْنَادِ ، وَرِجَالُهَا ثِقَاتٌ .
رَوَاهُ الطَّبَرَانِيُّ مِنْ طُرُقٍ ، وَفِي بَعْضِهَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ أَبِي النَّجُودِ ، وَهُوَ حَسَنُ الْحَدِيثِ ، وَبَقِيَّةُ رِجَالِهِمَا رِجَالُ الصَّحِيحِ ، وَبَعْضُهَا مُنْقَطِعُ الْإِسْنَادِ ، وَرِجَالُهَا ثِقَاتٌ .
In one narration the words are: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Because of my love for Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), I fear Allah Almighty."
Imam al-Tabarani recorded it through various routes, in some of whose chains is a narrator, Asim bin Abi al-Nujud, who is hasan al-hadith (good in hadith). The remaining narrators of both these narrations are the narrators of the Sahih. Some of these narrations are munqati' (disconnected) in their chains, and their narrators are thiqat (trustworthy).
