The death of Umar (may Allah be pleased with him)
Majma al-Zawaid 14471 — The death of Umar
وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ : لَوْ أَنَّ عُمَرَ أَحَبَّ كَلْبًا كَانَ أَحَبَّ الْكِلَابِ إِلَيَّ .
In one narration the words are: Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "If Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) had loved a dog, it would have been the most beloved of dogs to me."
