Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Near his passing, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called for a sheet, so that he could write in it something after which the people would never go astray. The narrator says: Sayyiduna Umar bin al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) spoke differently about it, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) set it aside.
Ahmad recorded it; its chain contains a narrator, Ibn Lahi'ah, and there is disagreement about him.
