Sayyiduna Zayd bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: An Arab man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and asked him for land lying between two mountains. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wrote that land over to him. That man became Muslim, went to his people and said to them: Become Muslim! I have come to you from a man who gives the way one gives who has no fear of poverty.
Imam al-Tabarani recorded this narration. Its chain contains a narrator, Abd al-Rahman bin Yahya al-Udhri, about whom it has been said that he is majhul (unknown); the remaining narrators of this narration have been declared trustworthy.
