وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ أَيْضًا : أَنَّ صَلَاةَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ - صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ - لَتُدْرِكُ الرَّجُلَ وَوَلَدَهُ وَوَلَدَ وَلَدِهِ . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ عَنِ ابْنٍ لِحُذَيْفَةَ ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ وَلَمْ أَعْرِفْهُ .
In one narration the words are: Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The supplication of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to reach a man, his children and his children's children.
Ahmad recorded it from a son of Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him), from Sayyiduna Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him), and I do not know that son of his.
