Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting in a circle. He intended to get up, so a boy stood up and placed his sandals before him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "By this you have sought the pleasure of your Lord; may Allah Almighty be pleased with you." The narrator says: Later that boy attained a prominent position in Madinah, until he was eventually martyred.
Al-Bazzar recorded it; its chain contains Amr bin Abi Khalifah, whom I do not know.
