Majma al-Zawaid — Hadith 1399

Sayyiduna al-Bara' bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Regarding wiping over the leather socks, (the specified period) for the traveller is three days and three nights, and for the resident one day and one night."
Al-Tabarani recorded it in al-Mu'jam al-Kabir; its chain contains a narrator, al-Dabbi bin al-Ash'ath, and he is da'if (weak).
